Week of May 7 - May 11

MATH
Block 1
Geometry Projects (completed in class).

HOMEWORK:

Block 2
MD.1 - Relative units of measurement
MD.2 - Word problems using the four operations, to include distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, mass, money, with fractions and decimals; also represent measurement using diagrams
MD.3 - Area and perimeter of rectangles
MD.4 - Use line plots containing fractions to +/- the fractions
MD.8 - Area

*We will be taking the last unit summative this week. It is lengthy, so each day we are working on sections of it in small groups.

HOMEWORK:

SCIENCE
Both blocks have finished all units for science this year!  

Block 1
Passion Projects (presentations are on Wednesday, 5/9).

Block 2
We will be using science time to finish the math summative.

HOMEWORK:

Social Studies
BLOCK 2 ONLY
SS4H6 - Effects of Reconstruction, to include:
Purpose of 3th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, Work of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands (Freedmen’s Bureau), Sharecropping replacing slavery, Freed African Americans or Blacks being prevented from exercising their newly won rights, and Effects of Jim Crow laws and practices.

*We will be taking the reconstruction summative this week. It is open note, so no study guide will be sent home.

HOMEWORK:
History Museum Speeches are due TOMORROW!!!  
I will be listening to each child recite their speech over the next several days.
